Guyton is a long-established neighborhood elementary school in southeast Detroit that has recently been energized by an outpouring of community support and a renewed commitment from the Detroit Public Schools system.

Guyton is now enrolling students city-wide for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6.

The east side's "best kept secret" isn't a secret anymore. Parents are learning about Guyton's long history of student achievement, the school's advanced computer lab, library media center, comprehensive physical education classes and many other valuable programs.

Guyton's mission has recently been expanded in two important ways:

• Guyton is now designated as a School of Choice open to students living everywhere inside the city of Detroit.
• Guyton added the sixth grade, extending its program from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6.
